An Infection Prevention Control (IPC) training programme is being held at the St. John of God Hospital facility in Amrahia from the 17th to 24th March 2021. The programme is being sponsored by Juan Cuidad and the Provincial Curia.
The aim of the programme is to teach staff in the hospital how to practice some preventive measures put up by the World Health Organization (WHO) against the Covid-19 pandemic. Target participants include doctors, physician assistants, nurses, midwives, laboratory persons, and other support staff of the hospital.
Although the Covax AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine has been administered to eligible staff in the hospital, preventive measures still need to be encouraged in order to prevent the contraction of Covid-19. As the say goes prevention is better than cure.
Training for other hospitals such as Saint John of God Clinic Oseikojokrom and Saint John of God Hospital Sefwi-Asafo will begin soon after the training in Amrahia is completed.
